How can I heat the Heatbag without a microwave?Updated 19 days ago

If you don't have access to a microwave, you can use the Hot Water Method. This requires careful attention to ensure the clay bag is heated evenly and safely:

  1. Boil Water: Bring a large pot of water to a boil, then turn off the heat (or reduce to a very low simmer).

  2. Protect the Bag: Ensure the clay bag is removed from its fabric cover.

  3. Submerge Carefully: Using tongs, immerse the clay bag fully into the water. It is essential that the bag does not touch the bottom or the sides of the pot, as the direct heat from the metal could damage the material.

  4. Timing: Leave the bag submerged for no more than 5 minutes.

  5. Dry and Inspect: Carefully remove the bag, pat it dry, and check for any signs of damage before sliding it back into its cover for use.
